Your Property Values

Are Tied to the Madison District

Real estate agents know how a high-performing school district helps maximize property values in that district.  The Madison School District is a prime example of how this positive phenomenon works.

Because of its superior education standards and its highly-respected reputation, the Madison District is a real selling point – particularly for families who want to purchase a home here so they can send their children to some of the best schools in Phoenix.

If the Madison District was dissolved, homeowners should expect their property values to be negatively impacted – and it’s anybody’s guess how much.

Bad to Worse

Decreasing property values is bad enough. But it could get even worse for property owners if the Madison District  where taxes are actually going down  is allowed to be dissolved and forced to merge with other districts.

Martin Shultz, the chairman of the School District Redistricting Commission, has conceded that residents in perhaps half of the affected school districts will have to pay more in property taxes, at least in the short term. However long that is?

The threat of decreasing property values and increasing property taxes are two good reasons why its in homeowners best interest to preserve the Madison School District.
